Village Walks to Local Pubs - 2011

Spring Walk to the Red Cow

4 April 2011

No-one forgot that the clocks had gone forward as 17 people turned out for our walk from Duddenhoe End to the Red Cow at Chrishall for lunch.

It was a delightful weather and the hedgerows were bursting with buds as our party, plus one rather large dog, took a leisurely stroll across the footpaths.

We arrived at the pub in good time, to be met by a few more diners and one more dog.

A hearty and enjoyable roast dinner, puds and wine meant that some of us needed the walk back to work off some of the calories.

All agreed it was a nice chance to walk and talk and we have agreed to try and arrange another one later in the summer – perhaps an early evening stroll for dinner.
