The festive season was suitably
heralded with the annual switch-on of the Duddenhoe End Village
Hall Christmas lights.
This auspicious occasion was attended by around 30 villagers who
warmed themselves indoors with a glass of mulled wine, mince pies
and sausage rolls before venturing out for the lighting up ceremony.
This year, we ran a draw to choose the young person who would throw
the switch after the countdown. Fortuitously, Emily Schweiger drew
the winning ticket on the occasion of her 12th birthday, so it was
a double celebration for her.
