A Busy Time in December...

10 December 2016

Residents, families and friends gathered on 4 December for the traditional switch-on of the lights that decorate the front of the building during the festive season. Mulled wine and mince pies kept guests warm and the names of the children attending went into a draw to decide who would have the task of pressing that all-important switch. The honour went to Clara Williams who performed her duty with great aplomb.

The generations came together at the Village Hall on 26 November to celebrate Thanksgiving week.

Donald, Hillary, Superman and even American Gothic were spotted amongst the cowboy hats and hay bales as guests entered into the spirit of our US-themed event. Apple bobbing, quoits and picture quizzes kept the children entertained while adults chatted over a glass of Sam Adams or wine. Hot dogs topped the menu followed by a delicious array of desserts that villagers had brought along.
