Over £100 was raised on June 17th at a coffee morning and bring-and-buy
sale at Duddenhoe End Village Hall. There was a first class display of goodies on
sale and our grateful thanks go to those who spent hours baking for us and those
who donated articles for the bring-and-buy sale. The cakes were quickly
snapped up and it was very much a case of the early birds
getting the worms!
The event also provided an occasion for villagers to meet up
and have a chat over
a cup of tea or coffee.
As ever the success of the coffee morning
was down to our loyal band of supporters.
Those who couldn't come or who have never supported
a Village Hall event need not worry as they will be more than welcome at our 'Wine
Tasting with A Twist' evening on Saturday, July 15 at 7.30pm. This will be
a fun event with a talk and demonstration given by Charles Hardcastle of wine merchants,
Joseph Barnes and Co.
Tickets are £7.50 in advance and £8 on the door. Included with the ticket
is a complimentary glass of wine and the chance to win a case of wine sponsored
